Not pretaining to our adoption

The last two weeks I have not been able to blog due to our Toilet and one of our bathrooms leaking through our ceiling.  We were referred by a subcontractor to replace the toilet and the surrounding area of the bathroom.  This we had to do out of pocket which dipped into our funds greatly.  Mean while our kind plumbers decided to not tear our bathroom apart but get paid and leave not to return.  This means we were out the funds for parts and some of the labor paid as a deposit. Not only did they tear up our bathroom but while leaving took many items from our home.   A police report had been filed and we pray these items are recovered.  Also taken was personal items of my husband wallet, cash, checks, debit cards etc..  Very upsetting to know we can not trust everyone around us.. Good news our Dossier is finishing up translations and will be submitted in Mid October. :O)))

Once Again

After receiving much needed documents we found out we need new updated copies of our Agency License and Social Worker License.  This meant 5 more of both the SW License and the Agency License.  Ten documents in all.  Okay once done I picked them up at $20 per document we had to shell out $320.00 includes additional SW Fee.  Thank God I checked each of the documents only to find out they were no good.. $320.00 wasted down the drain and also another week delay in getting them apostilled. Today I head back to the SW to pick up our documents but had to pay $50.00 to have them all redone.   I ran to FEDEX and send off the remainder of the documents so we can receive a travel date. So I carefully went to the desk at FEDEX only not to have our FEDEX account number.  Four women this time at FEDEX and not one took the time to help me locate the number I needed.  I was instructed to go to a computer to find my number which was to be sent Via Email.  Which never showed up, then I was told to ca

More delays :,0(

Today we found out we have to update two more documents.  This means 5 copies of each document times $40 each plus shipping costs.  Another major set back in our funds we had set aside for traveling. Please pray our documents are updated quickly so we can resubmit our Dossier. Please pray as our family works to bring our boys home.

Almost there

Almost there.. This pass year was one for ups and downs.  Once again we lose another computer so I have had no way to keep up our blog but my phone. Being a little older my eyes and fingers are a tad slower.   The next month we will be figuring out just what to pack.  And with us traveling in colder weather we will need heavy coats and boots.  Winters are tough so I am going be prepared once we step off the plane on to the landing strip.  Since we are not going directly into a terminal we will be boarding a bus to bring us to our terminal. Once inside we pick up our luggage and through customs to declare our cash on hand. Any thing over 10,000 you have to declare. So larger amounts you divide amounst one another.  Our DAPS appointments are a day or two after arrival.  Then off to visit our first son and then return for our second appointment.  Not sure how long our firat trip will be till we are there.  Once in our child's city we get permission to meet our child from a local offic

The truth & bananas

Early today I read a blog where a family spoke about the conditions of orphanages and the orphans that remain to die.  Sad but true, I wanted to post under her blog this is not all new.  This has been going on as long as I can remember my first trip to visit our first orphanage back in the 90's.  The smell you never seem to forget, the children and the caregivers who watched them.  Years later there new children, new graves behind the orphanages and some of the same caregivers walk the halls. At the beginning of our journey we decide to take a leap and follow our hearts and faith.  Knowing that out there was a child who needed that chance and one that had been waiting for some time.  I remember when I first met Makayla she sat by herself.  One day she had her small hand through the fence trying to touch a small  flower.  Her hand could all most reach it but still her small fingers could not grasp it.  As we entered children were running everywhere and some following behind

:O)))) Part two: The Wait begins

Part two of our journey:  Dossier shipped and next week it will be in country for review and submission. Now we wait..  Till then we get ready for our trip.. Today I spend checking out sales for clothes for the kids.  Praying that they fit, if not we can pass these on to other little ones.  I have been checking out flights for both round and one way. Still trying to figure out what our plans will be.. Depending on the timing etc.. So much to do within the next few months.  We will though be traveling during the cold part of the year. So this means heavy coats and boots.  Layering clothing to keep warm.  ON trip one I will be able to share more about the kids.. Right now I need to start focusing in on raising the funds we need for Trip one. One small step at a time..

A Monkey & Shipping

Our Dossier is being prepared to ship to my friend and then it is off to be submitted.  This was one of my biggest worries was processing and updated documents.  Currently we are have used a great portion of our savings on our dossier.  So now we are back to saving towards Trip 1 to meet our boys.  Our plans our to be there 2 and a half to 3 weeks. This gives us a week to visit each child.  At this moment we are arranging child care etc ahead of time.  With younger children at home it takes a lot of planning. I wished I had a few new photos of the boys to share. Especially Nolan, Nolan is not his given name, one that was given to him as reference on RR.  What our family has  learned about him is that he has been waiting since a toddler to be adopted.  And also has been listed on RR for quiet so time.  Nolan is currently in a school type setting orphanage where he would remain till he ages out .  Once he reaches 16 he would be aged out where he could not be adopted.  Then released on
