Last minute updates on Home Study, WE ARE FINALLY DONE :o))

Tonight I can finally say we are completely done on our Home Study.  One update after another which has added up greatly.  All documents are notarized and ready to be authenticated.  It has taken one year and almost a month to get our Dossier prepared.  Having to revise so many document in the wording, new FBI clearances, Medical clearances & Home Study updates. This is a younger photo of Mr. N This week our documents are traveling to our State's Capital Commission's Office where 64 documents will be authenticated.  Once this has been done we will be shipping this off and shortly they will translated and our Dossier registered.  With most families I have been chatting with they have received travel dates from 3 weeks to 6 weeks.  Our plans are to travel someone in late December to meet our boys. Our FSP has not moved in several months.  Even with grants on each boy it does not guarantee they will be available once we travel.  And funds will not be released until a

God's plan

All in God's plan and all in God's timing. Seldom lately do I sit down just to write how I feel about things. Lately there has been a lot in my life as a mother I wish I could change. MY older children each so differently and going through trials in their lives. As a mother even when our children are grow we have to keep in mind our limits. Our limits of breaking away and letting them make their own choices. Even when we know it can hurt them we have to stand back. This week I watched as one of my children was going through a lot of hurt. This one child was one of my strong children, level headed and with a very kind heart. Watching as my child was on their knees in pain, all I could do was think if only you were younger. When younger I held you as you cried.. I wiped your tears they ran down your face. Nightly I went into your room to cover you up. Make sure your favorite PJ's were clean with the snuggle smell. Yet today I listen to you as you wept. I thought

Sometimes things don't go as plan...

Yesterday we thought we had everything ready to apostille our Dossier but we found that two of the Dr's  licenses were not signed.  SO, off we went back to the doctor's office and got these fixed.  Once home we scanned these and given the okay.  Then  a few minutes later an error was found in our HS that had to be fixed.  Okay this was fixed with our Social Worker and then our HS reviewed again.  Only to find out the Home Study was going be over 6 months old.  So this meant we had to have a home study update.  MONEY~MONEY~MONEY it seems to go to finishing up our dossier.   Now by the time we go to the Commission's Office we will now have over 64 documents at $20 a piece.  With our Dossier being prepared twice, medical exams twice, FBI's twice and Hague Over sight our 2 Dossiers before authentications will be over $10,000 in preparations of out of pocket funds. We are blessed to have grants on our boys but we will be making several trips and this means additional airli

Not my day

Went to pickup up the new updated medical and Dr. License.  All looked well, till I got home and noticed the doctor did not sign the notarized cover sheet for his license. :'o(.  SO it is back to his office first thing in the morning for his signature and then our Dossier is head to Baton Rouge for apostilles..  Once this is done we are sending off our Dossier :O))) Praying all goes well during this journey to get all done.  Sixty documents at $20 a piece ($1200.00) A big chunk of our savings but we will finally be done. :O))) and this I am so thankful for. :O)) Next step  now to pray we have a family that is able to hand carry our Dossier.

Nolan

UPDATED PHOTO OF NOLAN Nolan is the name given to him to keep his privacy before being adopt. This fall/winter we will talk to him and ask him what he wishes if he wants to change his name. I have been speaking with Nolan's previous host family and they share some wonderful things about him. We were told he is very caring and loving young boy. He is also wanting to be adopted by a family who has children so he can be a brother to them. This weekend we purchased bunkbeds and a chest for his things. AS time gets closer we will purchase him a backpack and fill it with some things he might need. Our family is sadden that we will be able to travel in time for Ellie but happy to have the opportunity to adopt Nolan. Again thank you for all the wonderful prayers and support for our boys. God bless

Dossier done and A New Son ~Nolan~

Meet Nolan. Nolan has been waiting for a family since being a toddler and is turning 14 years old this year. I was told by a friend Nolan has the kindest most gentle of hearts. This young man needs a chance for a family to love and cherish him. A place where he can grow up, play with other boys and meet new friends. Most important thing of he needs a family to love him, teach him things, spend time with him and watch him grow into a man. Nolan young life was a rough one, he needs a family who can mentor him and guide him. Currently this week we updated our Dossier to include Nolan as our son. Please pray as we prepare to travel to meet our boys.. This journey we are traveling we will need all the prayers and support from all..
